For the person who already knows the calling and needs the next right step — the paperwork, planning, and setup nobody explains simply. Because sometimes what you need most is a checklist, not a sermon.

Make It Official
- Decide: sole proprietor, LLC, or nonprofit
- Get an EIN — free, ten minutes, at irs.gov
- Open a separate bank account before the first dollar arrives
- Check what your state or county actually requires

Build It Around Your Life
- Block two or three fixed hours before anything else claims them
- Pick one day you protect completely
- Tell one person your hours, so someone expects you to keep them
- Build in rest — this is not your twenties

Test It Before You Leap
- Do the smallest version of it for one real person first
- Charge something, even a dollar — free does not tell the truth
- Ask what almost stopped them from saying yes
- Set a real date to decide: keep going, or adjust

Be Findable
- One page that says what you do and who it is for
- An email that is not @aol or @yahoo — it reads unfinished
- One way to collect names, even a plain sign-up sheet
- Post one thing, one place, once a week — consistency beats polish

Keep the Books From Day One
- A separate account for anything tied to the calling
- One spreadsheet: money in, money out, date, what for
- Save every receipt — a shoebox counts, a habit does not have to be fancy
- Set aside a percentage for taxes before you spend it

Find Your First Ten
- Make a literal list of ten names — people, not “an audience”
- Reach out one at a time, not a mass email
- Ask what they need before you announce what you are doing
- Say thank you loudly when they show up
